Academy questions

How Sky Trucking Academy relates to STS, what is live now, and how fleets enroll.

Is Sky Trucking Academy the same as Sky Transport Solutions?

Sky Trucking Academy is powered by Sky Transport Solutions. It is the dedicated path for DOT and FMCSA training. STS remains the site for permits, Form 2290, IFTA, IRP, and Texas credentialing.

Are these courses DOT and FMCSA compliant?

Yes. Compliance courses are designed around current federal trucking regulations and are updated when rules change. Each course includes a certificate of completion for your records.

Can drivers complete training on a phone?

Yes. Courses are self-paced and mobile-friendly. Pause and resume on a phone, tablet, or desktop, then download the certificate when you pass.

How do fleet managers track completion?

Fleet and enterprise plans include bulk enrollment, completion tracking, and exportable reports. Start at skytruckingacademy.com/fleet.

Do you offer bulk pricing for fleets?

Yes. Volume pricing, admin dashboards, and compliance reporting are available for teams of any size. Use Get Fleet Pricing on the academy site.

Can I still talk to Sky Transport Solutions from here?

Yes. Use the form below or call (800) 498-9820. Offices are in Tracy, California and Lewisville, Texas. To enroll or browse courses, go to skytruckingacademy.com.

What is reasonable suspicion training?

FMCSA reasonable suspicion training teaches supervisors how to recognize signs of alcohol and drug use, document observations, and make a referral. Supervisors of CDL drivers typically need this training. The live course is $75 and includes a certificate.

What is DER training?

A Designated Employer Representative (DER) is the person who receives drug and alcohol test results and makes removal-from-duty decisions under 49 CFR Part 40. The live DER course is $19.99 with a certificate of completion.

Is English proficiency training for commercial drivers free?

Yes. English Proficiency for Commercial Drivers is free. It covers DOT scenarios, document reading, road signs, and listening for CMV operators who need English Language Proficiency (ELP) practice.

Do I get a certificate when I finish a course?

Yes. Pass the assessment and download a certificate of completion the same day for audits, employer files, and fleet records.

Is Sky Trucking Academy a CDL driving school?

No. It is online DOT and FMCSA compliance training with certificates, not behind-the-wheel CDL instruction. CDL pre-trip inspection is a coming-soon online course, not in-cab training.

How much do Sky Trucking Academy courses cost?

Live: Reasonable Suspicion (FMCSA) $75, English Proficiency free, DER $19.99. Coming soon: Fleet Safety Management $149, Hours of Service & ELD $59, HazMat $89.

Who needs reasonable suspicion supervisor training?

FMCSA requires supervisors of commercial drivers to complete reasonable suspicion training so they can recognize and document suspected alcohol and drug use. Enroll the people who make the call, not only the people behind the wheel.

Can I take DOT training in California or Texas?

Yes. Courses are online and available nationwide. Sky Transport Solutions supports academy questions from 121 E 11th St, Tracy, CA 95376 and 650 S Edmonds Ln, Lewisville, TX 75067. Call (800) 498-9820.

Is this 49 CFR Part 40 training?
